We are always fluid. Nothing is ever set and stone. Our actions shift so our goals and affirmations should follow as well. We constantly need to be evaluating ourselves. That is one of the few things that school got right is always testing us.
We need to always be tweaking everything in our life.
Learning expert Barbara Oakley states that in order to learn, we need to test ourselves to evaluate how well we know the content. It is miserable to expect a perfectly straight line. Our interests evolve over time. They ebb and flow into different endeavors in ways that we cannot predict.
A stockbroker can look all he or she would like at the history of a company, but it will never forecast the future accurately.
Expect life to pivot and you won’t be setting yourself up for future misalignment.
