I grew up in Michigan and, for most of my life, thought I knew the next step:
Go to a good school → Get the grades → Land a safe job → Follow the path.
But after a quarter-life crisis around my 25th birthday, I leaped. I moved from Chicago to Hawaii for a “three-month gig” that turned into three years, teaching journaling, writing, and learning what it means to feel truly alive and full of zest.
I left Hawaii to teach English in Thailand, where life was nothing like I’d planned. The traditional path was far behind me. I faced doubts, but I also found new sparks of curiosity, courage, and presence.
These adventures led me to publish an Amazon-bestselling memoir called Letters to My Life and start helping others share their stories.
Today, I coach writers and run workshops that help people rediscover their voice, build creative confidence, and reconnect with what matters.
Over the past few years, I’ve helped 100+ people get unstuck and write with more honesty and joy.
If you believe writing can be a playful adventure — and not just another to-do — we’ll get along well.
